He was born in the family Of Sree Pratap Mitra Chowdhury and Sreemati Sachi Rani Chowdhury at Banigram, Banskhali thana, Chittagong, Bangladesh in the year 1903 (1311 Bangla, 4 joisto on tuesday). They were three brothers Advaita , Aditya, Achyuta and three sisters Adhari, Ambika, Amiyo. He passed matriculation with distinction in math and Sanskrit under kolkata University . He was the deciple of Jagadananda Puri . He had also formal education on Sanskrit language and later established toll., Sanskrit and religious teaching centre .
In 1950 he established an Ashram 4 KM south of his home known as Rishi Dham comprising 125 acres of land and In 1958 he introduced KumbHa Mela at Rishi in the light of Kumbha which are held in four places India. ,Ujjaini,Prayag ,Nasik , The reason of introducing 5th Kumbha was that it was very difficult to get the visa to travel India during Pakistan period . So he organized the Kumbha with the similar thinkinn of Great Shankaracharya ,that means saints and wise will get together to discuss and knowledge on life and beyond that.
In 1960 he inherited Tulshidas Akeraa nand renamed it as Tulshi Dham .He wrote number of books those are ,Dharma Prabeshika ,Upashana Padvati (Procedure for prayer), Shivalinga Rahasya(Mystry of Shiva Linga) Shlagram Tatwa ( Theory Of Shalagram) Das Mahabidya (Ten Faces of Goddes Kali ) and Gitay Guru Shishya, upto chapter -9 ( Interpretaion of gita ) . He expired on 14 April 1966 in this temple.
